Why Aluminum Beats Iron for Most Jobs

Real wrought iron looks great but rusts, weighs a lot, and is expensive. Powder-coated aluminum has nearly the same look from any normal viewing distance, doesn’t rust, weighs less (easier on posts and gates), costs less, and comes with manufacturer warranties of 20+ years on the coating. For 95% of residential decorative work in McNairy County, aluminum is the right call.

The exception: very large driveway gates and certain ornate styles where the structural strength of steel matters. We’ll tell you when iron is the right answer.

Pool-Code Requirements

Pool fence in McNairy County has to meet specific code (Tennessee Residential Code references):

• Minimum 48 inches tall from the outside grade
• Picket spacing 4 inches or less so a small child can’t fit through
• Self-closing, self-latching gates with the latch at least 54 inches above the bottom of the gate
• No climbable surfaces on the outside (horizontal rails spaced too close to each other create a ladder)

Driveway Gates and Entry Features

Custom driveway gates — swing or slide, single or double, manual or automated. We install the gate hardware and the fence on either side; for automation, we coordinate with a local low-voltage installer for the openers and controls. Common features: stone or brick columns on either side, integrated lighting, intercom or keypad entry.
